Monster Island, The Asylum’s 2019 mockbuster, was released at the same time as Godzilla King of the Monsters. It is about an island called Monster Island on which a monster might be found; the monster is, of course, Monster Island.


Because this is a film on an asylum, it has the same budget as a large kid’s meal. However, it uses it lightly. They focus on a few human characters while filming all (now updated) of their big roles in one location during lunch. However, let's not forget that this is a kaiju film, and well... that's of of how they go, so maybe The Asylum won't perform too poorly?
